Ohio and Iowa account for the largest reported amounts in this packet; this is a disclosure comparison, not an election forecast.

One national outside committee’s November1 Senate disclosure across eight office states; readers can trace messages without mistaking them for candidate income or electoral support.

The reporting question: Where does one newly disclosed Senate messaging packet put its reported spending?

A new disclosure of older activity

The FEC’s current query marks file 2045498 as new, most recent and not amended. The filing dates every dissemination October 31; disbursement or obligation dates run October 27–31. Disclosure date and transaction date are different facts. [1] [2]

Read the office state, not the vendor address

Adding each of the 21 amount fields once reproduces the filing’s $1,703,190.63 total. The chart groups the entries by the state of the Senate office sought. Ohio totals $669,037.68 and Iowa $558,779.76. Vendor addresses and repeated year-to-date fields are not additional spending. [2] [5] [6]

Money buys messages, not a Senate majority

The packet mixes support and opposition communications. The FEC defines independent expenditures separately from coordinated campaigning; this report has not independently investigated that certification. The Senate helps write federal laws and confirms nominees, but these disclosure amounts establish neither persuasion nor a path to chamber control. [3] [4] [2]

Follow the document’s limits

Read the original eleven-page filing to check the payees, dates and marked purposes. This is a geographic summary of one disclosure, not a candidate-policy comparison, ballot-qualification list, donor investigation or census of spending. A later amendment would reopen the report. [1] [2]

What remains open.

  • Only this one filing is totaled; no claim about all committees, donor influence, delivery, reach or electoral effect.
  • No candidate names or eligibility claims are made in this geographic summary; it is not a voter-guide slate.
  • The filer’s independence certification is not independently investigated.

A corrected original, amended filing, current contrary candidate answer, changed official roster or operative order would require a new retained version and complete exact-source review.
