Terms of use

Read, explore and check the evidence. Keep the limits of an explainer attached when you share it.

Service and operator

Daniel Crouse, an individual, operates News That Doesn’t Suck under the DontSuckMedia publishing name. Questions and requests go to dan@thelumberoutletgroup.com. These terms describe use of the website and public MCP endpoint.

What this edition provides

The service provides visual explainers and their public evidence records. The current public beta contains educational drafts with human editorial review pending. Sample ballots, counts and other teaching models are illustrative. They are not live news, real election results or a guarantee about what will happen. Check dates, source limitations and official authorities before relying on an explanation.

Public MCP access

The public MCP endpoint provides read-only access to the same public material. It needs no account, API key or payment. It cannot publish a story, approve a draft, access private editorial records, process a payment or search the wider web. Coverage can change, and an empty result does not establish that an event did not happen.

Responsible use

Use the service without disrupting its availability, evading its protections, probing private editorial access or submitting secrets or sensitive personal information. Automated clients should respect response errors and request limits. We may restrict abusive traffic to protect readers.

Attribution and reuse

You may link to our pages and cite the explainers with their source links, dates and draft or review status intact. This service does not grant a license to third-party source material, marks or other rights. Contact us about republishing substantial parts of our material. Do not present an illustrative model as a real measurement or imply endorsement by a source, OpenAI or Anthropic.

Availability and accuracy

The service is provided as available. Content, tools and availability may change; we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, exhaustive coverage or error-free explanations. We keep evidence limits visible and accept correction reports. Nothing here removes rights or obligations that applicable law does not allow to be removed.

External services

Source sites and AI clients are operated independently and apply their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their answers, availability or data handling.

Changes and contact

The update date identifies this version of the terms. Continued use after a posted change is subject to the revised terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. Contact us with questions, problems or a correction request.
