The reporting question: Where does SLF PAC’s next disclosed Senate messaging packet put its money?

A different packet from the morning lead

The FEC now lists a new November 2 disclosure, file 2045891. Its eight entries all carry November 1 dissemination dates; one obligation is dated October 30 and the others November 1. This packet is separate from the November 1 filing in our earlier report. It is not an amendment or a cumulative update to that report. [1] [2] [12]

Read the Senate office state

Maine has $499,425.10 in this packet: $484,000 in media placement and $15,425.10 in phone calls. Michigan and Ohio have the next largest state subtotals. The chart groups the candidate-office states, not the vendors’ addresses, and adds each of the eight amount fields once. [3] [4] [5] [2]

Different contact methods, one disclosure limit

The packet reports $484,000 in media placement, $192,511.50 in phone calls and $5,244.44 in texts. It combines support and opposition expenses; the bars do not measure public support or cost per voter. No invoice, creative, payment or delivery log was inspected. [9] [11]

Trace the spending; keep the outcome open

These Senate choices carry votes on federal laws and presidential nominees. The disclosure cannot establish which party will control the chamber or what a senator will vote for. Use the original four pages to inspect the purposes, dates and amount fields. The filer’s independence certification is its statement, not our independent investigation. [10] [11] [2]
